Another snow-ice warning has been issued for seven counties ahead of Storm Caroline.
Storm Caroline is passing over Ireland so it’s going to be blustery and chilly evening, as temperatures are forecast to drop to -2C in some parts of the country tonight.
The status orange alert was put into place on Thursday afternoon for Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Longford, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo.
It begins at 4pm on Thursday December 7 and will stay in place until 6pm on Friday December 8.
Met Eireann forecast snow showers for Thursday evening and on Friday, cautioning icy roads and footpaths.
Accumulations between 4cm to 8cm are expected in the area, with larger amounts on higher ground.
A snow-ice warning for Munster, Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath and Roscommon was put into place at the same time.
Forecasters warn of snow showers over the evening, as well as on Friday.
Accumulations of up to 3cm are expected in the area, with some icy roads and footpaths as well.
The warning will be in place between 4pm on December 7 until 6pm the following evening.
A status yellow wind warning remains in place for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry.
