Ant McPartlin was on Sunday afternoon arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
The 42-year-old star was involved in a three-car smash: his Mini hit two other vehicles in south-west London.
A witness told The Sun that in the aftermath “Ant looked like his world had just ended”.

The same publication added that Mr McPartlin got “agitated and argumentative with a policewoman as she arrested him”. At least six police cars attended the scene and it is believed the TV presenter immediately failed a breath-test.
It is suspected that Ant’s car veered into the wrong lane after coming round a sharp bend on Lower Richmond Road.
The Sun quotes a witness who says that a family had been in one of the other “completely smashed in” vehicles.
“A little girl aged six or seven was crying as her mum tried to calm her down,” they stated.
The child wasn’t seriously hurt, but was taken to hospital as a precaution
Last summer, Ant attended a rehab treatment facility for drink and prescription drug addictions. He announced earlier this year that he was divorcing his wife of 11 years, Lisa.
He is currently being questioned at a police station.
