Apparently, Kate and Will were warned against having more children

Kate and Will

They are parents of three young – and totally adorable – children.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are no doubt the apples of their parents’ eyes, and all eyes were upon the three royal children during last week’s Royal Jubilee celebrations to honour Queen Elizabeth’s 70 years on the throne.

William and Kate seem to be pretty hands-on parents –from doing the school run to baking the children’s birthday cakes, it seems the royal couple are determined to take a down-to-earth approach to things – and I don’t know about you, but I found it refreshing to see Kate in total ‘mom mode’ during the weekend, when she took it in her stride to deal with little Louis while he threw a tantrum while watching the royal parade.

However, just before announcing that they were expecting their third child, it seems the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were warned not to have any more children.

During a tour of Poland and Germany in the summer of 2017, Kate was reportedly given a baby toy whilst in Warsaw.

As George and Charlotte were four and two at the time, she is believed to have said to William: ‘We’ll just have to have more babies!’

Shortly afterwards, children’s organisation ‘Having Kids’ – which promotes a ‘sustainable and child-centred family planning model’ – urged the urged the Duke and Duchess to reconsider expanding their family.

In an open letter, Executive Director President Anne Green Carter Dillard wrote that ‘the example the British Royal Family sets is extremely influential,’ continuing: ‘Your discussion of having a larger family raises compelling issues of sustainability and equity.

‘Large families are not sustainable.’

Carter Dillard added that while George and Charlotte are ‘certain to have wonderful lives… the same can’t be said of every future child.’

However, clearly knowing what was right for their own family, Kate and Wills shared the news that they were expecting their third child in autumn 2017 – with little Louis being born in April 2018.

Fans of the couple have been wondering could a baby #4 ever be on the cards, but during a trip to Northern Ireland last year someone called out to Kate: ‘Number four?’

To which the Duchess replied: ‘I think William would be a little worried!’

Seems three IS a lucky number for the Cambridges, so!
