Argos has recalled an electric fan heater over ‘shock and burn risk’

Argos is recalling a fan heater over concerns that it can pose a ‘shock and burn risk for users’.

The fan in question is a 2kw upright Argos fan heater with the catalogue number 730/9687 and model number FH03. It has recently been found to not meet the European Union (Low Voltage Electrical Equipment) Regulations 2016 standards and so the recall has been issued.

Customers are told to return the product to their nearest Argos store for a full refund.

According to The Sun, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has issued the following recall about the product:

“Argos is recalling an upright fan heater.

The product is a simple value 2kw upright fan heater, catalogue number 730/9687, model number FH03.

The product does not meet the requirements of the European Union (Low Voltage Electrical Equipment) Regulations 2016 as it poses an electrical shock and burn risk for users.

If you have purchased one of these fan heaters please stop using it immediately and return to your nearest Argos store for a full refund or replacement product.
