Argos has issued an urgent recall over a popular cot that may pose a danger to a child.
Parents are being warned that the Cuggl Camborne Cot's top rail could become dislodged over time.
This would result in "sharp points" becoming exposed making the cot a potential hazard.
Argos has issued a statement on its
website, saying:
"As part of our ongoing quality control procedures we have identified that in certain instances the top rail of the cot could over time become detached resulting in sharp points becoming exposed.
"This recall does not affect the chest of drawers or wardrobe, where the cot was purchased as part of a three-part set."
The products affected are:
- 739/8258 - Cuggl Camborne 3 Piece Set - White
- • 709/5654 - Cuggl Camborne 3 Piece Set - Two Tone
- • 737/8443 - Cuggl Camborne Cot Bed - White
- • 737/6483 - Cuggl Camborne Cot Bed - Two Tone
The company has urged parents who purchased the cot to contact the Argos customer helpline so they can arrange a replacement or refund.

Argos has apologised for the inconvenience caused.
