A baby boy abandoned in a park in London is still without a parent three months after being found.

‘Baby Harry’, as he was named by the medical staff who looked after him, was discovered wrapped in a white blanket in a park in Plaistow, East London on 17 September.

He was taken to a nearby hospital and is now being cared for by the local authority.

Police are continuing to investigate his discovery and want to make sure that the baby’s mum is OK.

They issued a renewed appeal for her to come forward, as well as images of baby Harry from when he was a month old, earlier today.

“It has now been three months since Harry was found,” said Detective Inspector Debbie McCormack.

“In that time we have been in constant contact with hospitals throughout London to see if Harry’s mother has sought medical attention but we have yet to identify her.

“We are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.

“I would reiterate our appeal to Harry’s mum – please come forward and let us know you are safe and if you need care and support, we can help you access this.

“As you can see from the images, little Harry is doing well but we would urge anyone else with information, or who saw anything out of the ordinary in the Balaam Street area on that morning, to please come forward.”
