A one-year-old baby was taken into the care of cops in Munich after it was found strapped to a man at Oktoberfest who was reportedly too drunk to stand up.

A shocked fellow tourist at the popular German beer festival noticed the man slumped over near the exit with a baby strapped to his chest, according to news outlet The Local.

The man, reported to be a 28-year-old from Texas, slowly started to fall over onto his side while he was by one of the festival exits on Thursday.

This led the worried passerby to take the baby off of the man’s chest and ring the police.

The publication reports that when the cops arrived at the scene, the man was allegedly so drunk he could not respond to their questions.

He was repeatedly vomiting, which led to police calling an ambulance to take him to the hospital.

Officers took the one-year-old baby to Munich central station.

The child welfare office in the Bavarian city later decided to take the baby into care.

Oktoberfest is the largest beer festival in the world, attracting millions of visitors every year for its mixture of strong beer, traditional Bavarian food and fair ground rides.
