Gardaí arrest woman (40s) following fatal stabbing in Ballyfermot

The man was stabbed at a property in Ballyfermot.

A man has died following a fatal stabbing in Ballyfermot, Dublin.

The deceased was found in the early hours of the morning on Tuesday, November 8th.

The man, aged in his late 30s, was found with an apparent stab wound shortly after 2.30 am.

Emergency services and Gardaí rushed to an apartment in Claddagh Court, Ballyfermot

He received treatment at the scene but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Gardaí have arrested a woman in her 40s in connection with the incident.

She is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Clondalkin Garda Station.

The victim’s body remains at the scene.

Both forensic and technical examinations will take place following the man’s death.

The Coroner and Office of the State Pathologist have also been notified.

Gardaí confirmed that they’re “investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the man’s death”.
