Baz Ashmawy is said to be heartbroken after the loss of 6-year-old Josh Parsons.

Young Josh appeared on DIY SOS: The Big Build earlier this year.

The young boy had Smith-Magennis Syndrome, which is a severe developmental disorder.

Josh captured the hearts of the nation, as well as the DIY SOS team.

Baz and the entire crew paid tribute to Josh after his tragic death.

“Baz Ashmawy, the entire #diysosirl team & community of volunteers, and everyone at Motive Television are devastated to hear of the loss of young Josh Parsons, son to Jen and Glen.

“They were at the centre of our Longwood episode earlier this year.

Josh was described as a true inspiration as well as a “fighter”.

“Josh was a fighter and an inspiring young boy, and his family did him proud in every step of his tragically short life.

They added, “Our hearts go out to Jen, Glen and Ryan, and their entire network of family, friends, and neighbours in Longwood, Co. Meath.

“May Josh rest in peace.”

Viewers were devastated to hear of Josh’s death.

One wrote, “So incredibly sad, beautiful young man. May he rest in peace.”

Another added, “Oh my goodness I’m so terribly sad to hear this sad news. I watched the episode only recently and was so moved by their story. My condolences to them on the loss of beautiful Josh. Aingeal ar neamh.”

“Heartbreaking. Thinking of his mam, dad, brother & family. Rest in peace little man,” another shared.

Josh was admitted to ICU in Crumlin Children’s Hospital.

He passed away on May 2nd.

We’re keeping his parents and loved ones in our thoughts during this heartbreaking time.
