It’s time to deck the halls and hang the tinsel.

Yes, that’s right: Christmas FM is officially coming back this week.

The station full of festive favourites will be back on the airwaves at 1pm on Thursday, November 28.

As ever, listeners can expect to hear their favourite Christmas classics and festive updates from a range of familiar radio voices, who will be volunteering their time to bring you round-the-clock Christmas tunes.

The station will be broadcasting live on FM, including online at www.christmasfm.com.

This year, Christmas FM will be raising awareness and funds for Barretstown.

The radio station’s goal is to raise over €250,000 which will press play on over 850 days of life changing programmes at Barretstown, rebuilding the lives of seriously ill children.

The services provided to all of the children and families who attend Barretstown are entirely free of charge, so donations and fundraising efforts are vital for the charity to help more seriously ill children to experience the magic of Barretstown each year.

“I would like to thank Christmas FM for choosing Barretstown as its beneficiary this year. All funds raised will help press play on over 850 days of life-changing programmes, rebuilding the lives of seriously ill children,” Gordon D’Arcy, Barretstown Ambassador, said.  “I hope that Christmas FM listeners across the country will get involved this December and help make a difference to the lives of these children this Christmas.”

Christmas FM also has a number of sister stations which are available globally, helping to sprinkle Christmas cheer right across the globe.

They include:

  • Christmas FM Classical plays ‘Classical and Carols’. The station brings you the best in Classical Christmas music mixed with a wide range of festive carols
  • Christmas FM Classics plays ‘Classics and Crooners’. It’s a mix of classic, pre-1970s Christmas songs from Bing to Frank and Nat to Eartha
  • Christmas FM North Pole is Santa’s Official Radio Station. Broadcasting from a studio on top of the North Pole State Building (the tallest building in the North Pole), the station brings the magic of Christmas to the world.
