A big change is coming for Meteor customers

Big changes are coming to Meteor Mobile.

Meteor customers are set to be facing a new change in the coming months. The mobile network will be changing its name to eir, following the rebrand of its parents company. It's the first time in 12 years that the network will see a change this big and they've said that it won't affect plans or current customers. We're told to expect a 'seamless' change over when it happens in September. According to Breaking News, Richard Moat, CEO of eir said:

"This decision reflects the confidence we have in the eir brand. The transition will be seamless, and Meteor customers will continue using their mobiles exactly as before. Meteor customers may not have realised that they are part of a much bigger network, and they should be reassured that they can now take full advantage of all of the possibilities that come from being an eir customer."
