An Irish children’s animation narrated by dishy Roscommon actor Chris O’ Dowd of The IT Crowd fame is set to launch on Netflix in September.
The Irish animation series, Puffin Rock, is one of four original series to be aired by the site. The story centres on creatures who live on an island off the coast of Ireland.
Oona, the adorable Puffin and her little brother Baba are avid explorers and discover underground creatures, beauty under rocks, in the sea, on land and in other picturesque parts of their homeland.
Twice Oscar-nominated Cartoon Saloon, the accomplished studio behind Song of the Sea and Secret of Kells are responsible for the beautiful design of the animation. Two other animation studios Penguin Random House Children and Dog Ear’s have partnered on the 13-episode season beginning on September 1st.
