The mum-of-two faced huge criticism for putting Instagram filters on pictures of her children.

Billie Faiers has defended her decision to use filters on pictures of her three-year-old daughter Nellie and eight-month-old son Arthur on social media.

The former TOWIE star was criticised by followers for airbrushing pictures of her children, however, Billie has now responded saying it’s no big deal.

“I just took a photo and put a filter on it with the flash,” the 27-year-old told Daily Mail.

“It looked… pure, they’re babies, they’re going to look pure anyway, but it was literally just a filter.

My little darlings .. ???

“It was such a nice photo that I wanted to share it and I got a lot more positives than negatives, but there were a few people that were commenting saying I’d edited it.

“It was a filter, in this day and age people use filters all the time. I feel sometimes no matter what you do, you can always get criticised.

“Everyone’s going to have an opinion and I think when you are putting yourself out there on social media, you’ve just got to kind of accept it.

“Everyone’s got their own way of doing things. I think as mums we should all support each other – because everyone’s situations are different – and not be so judgemental.”

Billie was also criticised previously for featuring her daughter Nellie on TOWIE when she was a newborn.

However, the reality star says that those moments now act as a constant reminder of that time in her life.

“I think for us we kind of feel like we’ve got the best home movies ever, so much is there.

“She’s now getting used to seeing herself. The other day I was showing her a magazine and there were pictures of her and she’s so intrigued it’s hilarious.”
