Billy Joel welcomes his third child, a baby girl

Third time lucky!

Congratulations are in order for singer Billy Joel, who has just become a father for the third time. His wife Alexis Joel gave birth to a baby girl on Sunday evening at New York University Hospital with Billy by her side, a representative for the couple told People. They've already given the newborn a name and it's just lovely. "Sunday night, Billy and Alexis Joel welcomed Remy Anne into their family," the reps said. "Alexis and Remy are doing well and everyone is thrilled."

The baby is Joel's third child and second with Alexis. She gave birth to their first child, a girl named Della Rose, in August 2015, just a month after the pair got married. Billy also has another daughter, 31-year-old Alexa Ray Joel, from his marriage to model Christie Brinkley. Alexa Ray was in the room with her father and step-mum when little Remy Anne was born. Despite turning 68 in May and having two small kids at home, Billy shows no signs of slowing down and is due to continue touring next month and into 2018. Tickets for his show at Dublin's Aviva Stadium next June sold out moments after going on sale earlier this month.
