The frightening-looking contraption is a device called a Pigg O Stat, which is designed to position infants and young children for x-ray. According to the manufacturer's website, "Since 1960, the Pigg-O-Stat has been and continues to be the first choice for pediatricians, doctors, and medical professionals around the globe." However, after the picture was posted to Reddit, the technology has stunned the internet into a viral sharing frenzy.
