Disclaimer: I personally attended one of my best friend’s wedding 11 days after the birth of my second baby, rushing home in between the church service and dinner to breastfeed and missing some of the evening speeches because I was sitting in the bathroom with a breast pump attached to my boob.
By 11pm, I was home on the sofa with my baby boy.
And much as I admit I did feel a little bit self-conscious over my having-just-given-birth body and my enormous, milk-filled boobs and my very sleep deprived eyes that day, I am still glad I got to be there and spend this very important day with my childhood friend.
This was obviously what played on brand-new-mum-of-two Blake Lively’s mind too, when she shared pictures of herself attending her best friend’s wedding, a mere TWO DAYS after having welcomed her baby #2.
Yesterday, the 29-year-old actress posted a picture with the bride on Instagram, captioning it: “Most beautiful bride on the planet. And the best friend I could ask for… Thank you for being EVERYTHING. I love you.”
She later shared another photo from the wedding, this time a close-up shot of the bride’s beautiful dress, ring, and bouquet.

According to reports, Blake allegedly gave birth to her second child with husband Ryan Reynolds at a Manhattan hospital on Friday, but the notoriously private couple has not yet shared a photo of the newborn, nor confirmed the baby’s name or sex.
Blake and Ryan already has a daughter together, James, who will turn two this December.
