Body recovered in search for missing teenage girl

The 14-year-old has been missing since Monday.

Teams searching for a teenage girl missing from her home have found a body.

Gardaí said that the body of a female had been discovered on the Clonee Road in Lucan in Dublin at approximately 1pm.

They are now examining all the circumstances surrounding the discovery.

The body remains at the scene which is being preserved for a technical examination.

An identity has not yet been established.

Fourteen-year-old Anastasia Kriegel has been missing from home since Monday.

She was last seen at St Catherine’s Park, Lucan at 5.30pm that evening.

The teenager is originally from Lucan and is described as being around 5’8 in height and of a slim build with sallow skin and shoulder-length black hair.

When last seen she was wearing a black hoodie with white writing, black bottoms and black runners.

Anastasia’s family had appealed for help in locating her, saying they were concerned for her wellbeing.
