Season one of The Bodyguard follows war veteran David Budd who is assigned to protect the home secretary, Rt Hon Julia Montague MP (Keeley Hawes).
Budd increasingly finds himself at odds with Montague's controversial policies and her personality. He also has to tackle his ongoing trauma from his time serving in Afghanistan.
The veteran is left torn between his beliefs and his duty to protect.
Over 11 million people tuned into the series' thrilling finale so there's no doubt people will be thrilled to hear the show is returning.
We may have to wait another two years for the series to air but we're sure it'll be worth it.
