Emergency services are on the scene in south county Dublin after a newborn baby was found by a member of the public this afternoon at approximately 3.30pm.
The baby, found in a plastic bag in a Rathcoole industrial estate, is reportedly alive and has been transferred to Tallaght Hospital.
The condition of the child’s health is unknown.
Gardaí are keen to speak with the infant’s mother and anyone with any information on her identity is asked to contact Gardaí in Clondalkin on 01 666 7600.
