Breaking: Woman (50s) found dead in “unexplained circumstances” in Ballymun

The victim was found in a residence in Ballymun.

Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the death of a woman in Ballymun.

It is believed her body was found at a residence in Sandyhill Gardens on May 10th.

Gardaí were called to the scene shortly after 3.30 pm this afternoon.

Gardaí confirmed the victim was found “deceased in unexplained circumstances”.

Reports claim the woman was stabbed to death. She suffered multiple stab wounds, according to RTÉ.

The victim is reportedly in her 50s.

However, her identity has yet to be disclosed to the public.

She is also a mother to multiple children.

The investigation into this incident is at an early stage.

The scene has been preserved and the State Pathologist will conduct an examination.

The Garda Technical Bureau will also carry out a technical examination of the crime scene.

No arrests have been made at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.
