It’s a day on which many will be travelling home for Christmas but this morning, operations at Dublin Airport didn’t get off to the best of starts.
Terminal 2 came to a standstill when the airport was evacuated for a brief time shortly before 9am this morning.
Thankfully, normal operations have now resumed following the disruption. As yet, there are no reports of delays.
An airport spokesperson has confirmed that the evacuation was due to a fire alarm going off while Twitter users are suggesting it was the result of a passenger smoking in a toilet.
