Brian Dowling sadly lost his mum Rosie in 2018
Brian Dowling has opened up about how tough it is knowing his daughter Blake will never get a chance to meet his beloved mum.
Dowling’s mum Rosie passed away from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome when she was only 61 years old.
Her 2018 passing completely broke the presenter’s heart, but even more so now that he has a family of his own.
Dowling recently opened up about just how hard it is not to have your mum in your life when you’re raising your own family.
Alongside a sweet photo of him and Blake on the sofa, the TV presenter said Blake makes the hard days brighter.
“February is usually a rather difficult time of year for me since mum’s passing in February 2018.
“Her 6th anniversary in Heaven is approaching soon. It breaks my heart that Blake never met her nanny Rosie & my mum never even held her granddaughter Blake.”
Speaking about the ongoing grief, Dowling said it can be so hard that it can actually take your breath away.
“On days like today, all I have to do is look at my beautiful little girl who just puts a smile on my face,” the dad gushed.
His followers praised him for being so honest about grief, and for always being so real when it comes to parenting.
