The bride responded with a perfectly polite reply, saying that she was already in shape, and thanked him for his offer. He then proceeded to message her again, saying that the photos will be around for centuries to come and since everyone will be looking at them, she should be in the best shape she can be. The bride, named Cassie Young, explained to the PT that she is happy with herself and has battled with demons over her weight in the past, but is now focusing on being healthy, rather than looking good. And then... it just got ugly.
He wrote back to her, "You can accept how you look, but you can't be happy with the way you look. "I just wish the whole big body acceptance people would accept the fact that they are not happy with their bodies." After a few more messages back and forth, it takes an even weirder turn. The personal trainer writes, "It's like when I look at your Twitter and Instagram. You have so many posts about food. And it's all bad food. "You love food and you know that's not the right way to live. So you feel ashamed when people bring it to your attention." Cassie had a pretty badass reply though, saying, "I do love food, it is a way to live and it's not wrong.
"And no, I do not feel ashamed when people bring it to my attention. "I refuse to play [your] game. I reject your notion of operating on superficiality and looks, and I embrace my inner healthy goals." Oh, but that's not all. She finished the conversation by writing in all caps, "People don't want you to fat shame them because it's f*cking mean to make someone feel bad about themselves based on their appearance. "It's a sh*tty thing to do, and even sh*tter to try to convince someone otherwise so you can profit off it. Get some morals." Can this bride-to-be get a crown please, because she's an absolute QUEEN.
