“I want to survive and I will survive”

Bridgerton star Ruby Parker has been hospitalised with mental health issues.

The actress confirmed she has not been doing well recently in a moving Instagram video.

To mark Mental Health Week, the actress said it felt like it was time to get things off her chest.

“Mental health week is every week for me. Off my chest. I feel like I’ve not been completely honest so this is for my followers.

The actress, best known for playing Marina Thompson, said she has been struggling since Bridgerton.

“Time to be transparent. I’ve been struggling since Bridgerton, this is the truth. Thank you all for supporting me, your love holds me up.”

She explained that she has had a diagnosis, but isn’t ready to talk about it yet.

The actress has been dealing with existential threats, as well as rage, anger, and frustration.

Ruby said she is starting to feel better and will be discharged from the hospital soon.

“I am better. I have been really unwell for a really long time, and I just want to be honest with everybody, I have been struggling.”

“So, I’m in the hospital at the minute, I’m gonna get discharged soon and hopefully get to continue with my life.

“I’m gonna take a little bit of a break for myself and I want to encourage others, if you are struggling, please do yourself a favour. Take a break, stop being so hard on yourself.”

“I want to survive and I will survive,” she added.

However, the Bridgerton star doesn’t want her diagnosis to define her.

“I can’t carry on the way that I’ve been carrying on. I need to change. So, that’s what I’m trying to do.”
