The photograph was released to mark 2020.

Buckingham Palace has released a new royal portrait of the Queen and her three heirs.

The picture was taking in the throne room at Buckingham Palace just before Christmas, according to The Independent

It shows the Queen standing a step ahead of Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince George. The Prince of Wales has his hand on his grandson’s shoulder, with the Duke of Cambridge standing on the other side of the photo.

Kensington Palace posted the photo on Instagram to wash their followers a “happy and healthy 2020.”

“A new portrait of The Queen and The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and Prince George has been released to mark the start of a new decade,” they wrote in the caption.

It’s not the first time the the palace has released a portrait of the four royals.

In April 2016, the formal photograph was released to in honour of the Queen’s 90th birthday. Prince William, Prince Charles and the Queen were all seated for the photo – but Prince George stood on a black-and-blue step to hold his father’s hand.
