OUCH.
As you can imagine, most customers of the South Kiosk who are parents too, were not one bit happy with the message and took to their Facebook page to voice their objections.
One customer, Sally Grant, said;
‘Thank you for your kind and understanding post. I’ll make sure my family (including our autistic daughter) never darken your doorway.’The cafe has taken down their entire Facebook page today due to the backlash and it remains to be seen what further impact the decision to post this message will have. What do you think? Were they right to issue a warning, asking parents to keep their kids under control, or have they no business insinuating that they might intervene with someone else's child?
