Actress Caitriona Balfe has penned a moving tribute to her father following his sudden death.
The Outlander star confirmed her dad passed away on August 2nd.
Alongside a photo of her dad, Caitriona penned a heartbreaking tribute and praised him for being such a caring person.
“My father James (Big Jim) BALFE passed on Tuesday, August 2nd.”
“He was a mountain of a man, big in stature and personality.”
“His presence and influence was huge in my life. He was loved by so many and will be missed by us all.”
“Thank you to all our neighbours and friends for their kindness and thoughtfulness over this past week,” the Belfast star continued.

“I feel grateful to have been lucky enough to be able to call him dad,” Caitriona added.
Amy Huberman, who also lost her own father recently, sent a loving message to the actress.
“I’m so so sorry about that Caitriona I’m sending you so much love. Rip to your lovely Dad x.”
