Journalist Caitriona Perry is expecting her second child
RTÉ's Caitriona Perry shared some special news this week.
Huge congratulations are in order for journalist Caitriona Perry who is expecting her second child.
The broadcaster announced her joyous news after RTÉ News viewers spotted her baby bump.
Alongside a photo of flowers, the news presenter thanked everyone for the well wishes.
"Just want to say a quick thank you to the many keen-eyed @rtenews viewers who have been in touch with good wishes.
"Well spotted! I am indeed expecting some more news of my own later this year," she said.
This is Caitriona's second child.
She is already a mum to a daughter, who was born in 2019. However, she has never shared her little girl's name.
Caitriona is extremely private about her personal life.
She wants to ensure that her family is protected.
In an interview with Irish Country Magazine, the news anchor explained why she keeps her personal life out of the spotlight.
"I feel like so much of our lives are shared now through social media that you have to keep something back for yourself."
Fans of the journalist sent lovely messages after she confirmed her pregnancy.
