The photo stopped us in our tracks today
The photo of a young girl eating a meal off a box outdoors has caused anger and upset amongst homeless charities and campaigners.
Founder and CEO of Dublin charity, Feed Our Homeless Tony Walsh tweeted the pic with the caption: “A picture like this speaks a thousand words and is the result of a broken housing system that simply does not work.
“Young children should never be forced to eat there [sic] dinner on the streets of Dublin like this simply because they have no place to call home.”

700 families are currently living in emergency accommodation in Dublin alone, which equates to 1,657 children in the capital who have no home.
Tony Walsh encourages people to reach out of they know of someone in need: “If you know any homeless person out on the streets tonight who may be in need of support please our out of hours emergency number 085-8129207.”
