You can now order wedding bouncy castles, and they’ll definitely keep the kids happy

Olivia Hayes

A lot of planning goes into a wedding.

The location, the ceremony, the dress, the cake, the rings… the list is absolutely endless.

However, one thing that never goes into planning a wedding is whether to get a bouncy castle or not.

Well, until now. Yep, bespoke bouncy castles are now a thing and while at first thought it’s like ‘OMG no’… looking at them they don’t seem so bad.

A company in the North East of England has decided to create specially designed wedding bouncy castles, but they’re not for you to get married on… they’re for kids at a wedding to keep busy on.

Because let’s be honest, trying to keep kids busy at a wedding for the entire day can be a bit of a struggle… especially when they’re on their feet, hungry and have nothing to do.

One of the owners of A Wedding Wonderland who created the bespoke bouncy castles said: “The idea was born out of the realisation that depending on the venue there is generally very little for children who are attending weddings to do.

“It’s not uncommon to see parents frantically chasing children round venues during speeches and meals etc. It’s a long day, so a bouncy castle is a great way to keep them entertained.”

However, adults can have the craic on them too… and we’re sure it would make quite the photo op for Instagram.

Paul continued: “The castle has also appealed to adults attending events and they have just as much fun with it as the kids do. It’s made for some great photo opportunities.”

And speaking of the bespoke look he said: “I think it’s fair to say not many people want a giant inflatable green caterpillar creeping into the background of their wedding photos, so we tried to create something that would fit seamlessly into the landscape of a prestigious wedding venue, if not actually add to it.

“It would have been easy to stop at just supplying a white castle but lots of companies provide this and we wanted a more bespoke feel to our product, so we had the castle specially designed to accommodate the edition of flowers, drapes and other decorations that can be altered to match a clients wedding theme.”
