The CCPC published the warning on Wednesday, July 17th, documenting the risks associated with a toy being sold on Amazon.
In the notice, officials wrote: “A safety issue has been identified with an INSTOY Montessori Pull String Baby Toy sold on Amazon.”
It is understood that the product “presents a risk of choking as it is possible for the small discs to detach from the pull string”.
Officials went on to caution that: “A young child may place this in their mouth and choke”.
The brand, model number, batch number and bar code are unknown, but the Amazon ASIN is B0BDDW26TB.
The product was sold online through Amazon, however it has not been confirmed how many units were sold to customers in Ireland.
If you purchased one of these products, you should stop using it immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.
If you want to contact Amazon to see if there are any remedies available to you, you can do this via your user account on Amazon.
