She sadly passed away on Monday.
Tributes have been pouring in after the death of a 15-year-old girl in Wexford.
The young girl tragically died after suffering an asthma attack.
According to the Gorey Guardian, Céilí McInearney was attending an open day at Coláiste an Átha when the asthma attack occurred.
The incident happened last Thursday, October 13th.
Emergency services rushed to the school in Wexford. They transferred Céilí to Wexford General Hospital, but she was later moved to Crumlin Hospital.
Despite the doctor's best efforts, Céilí passed away on Monday, October 17th.
Coláiste an Átha issued a statement following Céilí's untimely death;
"It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the passing of TY student Céilí McInerney this week.
"As a school, we are devastated by the loss of such a beautiful soul.
"Our spirits were buoyed today listening to the many wonderful stories about her kindness, her fierce loyalty, her sense of fun, and her sense of adventure."
"She left a lasting impression on everyone she met."
"The entire Coláiste an Átha school community would like to offer our sincere condolences to Céilí’s family and friends at this sad time. She will be sadly missed by everyone that knew her. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace."
Céilí has also been remembered as someone who "was always smiling and laughing".
Her family said she "lit up every room she walked into".
They also said the teenager "brought joy to everyone in her life".
