11 products are included in the recall
Both SuperValu and Centra have issued an urgent recall on their rice products.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland issued the alert on Thursday, February 3rd.
A total of 11 products are being recalled due to the possible presence of insects.
The FSAI has urged customers not to consume the products. The public should check the batch numbers on the rice products they have at home.
Recall notices will be displayed in SuperValu and Centra stores too.
The FSAI stated: “SuperValu and Centra are recalling the below batches of rice products due to the possible presence of insects.”
“Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batches.”
It is understood the products are swiftly being removed from the shelves in both Centra and SuperValu stores.
