Chelsea Clinton hits back at nasty claims made against her mum
Chelsea has recently written a bestselling children's book.

Chelsea Clinton has defended her famous mum after a news reporter claimed Hillary would "sell her only child to be president."

Mum-of-two Chelsea Clinton has hit back at a Fox News host's claim that her mum, former Secretary of State and presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, would "sell her daughter."

Lisa Boothe, a contributor to Fox News' The Five programme said in a segment that the 2016 Democratic nominee "would literally sell her daughter to be president, literally sell her only child to be president." Boothe also stated that Hillary was the "most soulless woman on the planet."

Chelsea, who is a mum herself to Charlotte (2) and Aidan (1), was having none of it and took to Twitter at the weekend to defend her famous mother, writing:

"No, she wouldn’t. I’ve never doubted and always known I was the most important part of her life. Now as a mom I’m even more grateful to my mom."

Chelsea (37) and her investment banker husband Marc Mezvinsky (39) recently spent a few days holidaying in London with their two children, after the former 'first daughter' finished promoting her bestselling children's book She Persisted.
