Child demolishes €1,100 worth of makeup in Sephora store

Well at least someone had fun...

Yes, it was quite the sight!

Kids love to play with all the different textures and colours our makeup has on offer to them AND we know how difficult it can be to keep those teeny-tiny, sneaky mitts out of our cosmetics bag.

Of course, this can reach peak-difficulty when we’re moseying about town, six shopping bags across both arms, trying desperately to keep the little minions from destroying shop goods. We’re all too familiar with the trying-to-avoid chaos and mayhem process, but this one takes the biscuit!

Makeup aficionado and mum-of-two, Brittney Nelson, was shopping in Sephora in Georgia, USA, when she was met with the sight of utter destruction.

The mum took to Facebook to say;

“$1300 of Make Up Forever eye shadow destroyed at Sephora tonight due to a small child. I’m sure he/she thought they were like finger paints and had no idea how naughty they were being.

“I’ve needed to bring Allie into many makeup stores as she’s grown and had a strict ‘hands in pockets’ rule for her and a strict 10-minute rule for me. It was very helpful so if you must take your kiddos makeup shopping I suggest trying it.”

The makeup artist mum also said the wreck “looked 100x worse in real life.” Eeek!

Brittney’s Facebook post has gathered plenty of varied comments and opinionz from users over the smashed and smeared goods. One claimed; “This pisses me off because it’s a lack of fucking parenting.”

Another said, “If you cannot manage your children then leave them at home. What a waste!”

Other users advised that no one should be so quick to judge as we aren’t aware of the circumstances. “No one knows how the mother is parenting her child so don’t judge…kids get into things it’s a fact.”
