Child Model Sparks Debate After Signing to Major Modelling Agency in US

Kristina Pimenova, also known as “the most beautiful girl in the world”, has reignited debate after landing a major modelling contract in the US. The 10-year-old from Russia is now signed to the youth section of LA Models having previously modelled for brands including Armani and Dolce & Gabbana.

She has reportedly been in the industry since the age of three and has amassed more than one million followers on Instagram. While her success cannot be questioned, some are questioning the types of images that are available of her online, arguing that she is "too young." On a number of her Instagram posts, there are some sexual comments referring to her appearance and asking about her relationship status.

However this is something that her mother Glikeriya says is under control and reportedly monitors herself. On Kristina’s official Facebook page, it clarifies that Kristina does not post on the internet. There is also a warning in the ‘About’ Section. It reads: “All the content shared on this page should be kid friendly. Any video or pictures posted here that is not appropiate for Kristina's age will be deleted and whoever posted it will be blocked… “Only positive comments about Kristie will be allowed to remain on the page… Kristina's pictures can not be used for role playing [sic].”
