The children from the Tarbert photograph reunite to reenact it and it’s beautiful

Recently an appeal was put out to reunite four Irish children with their photograph.

A man who visited early in the mid-eighties went on a quest to find the group of children he took a photograph of during his trip.

The man said during his stay in Ireland in 1985 four children approached him to take their photo after they noticed he had a camera and now 34 years on he wanted to reunite them with the picture.

The children were identified by Irish woman Jennifer Scanlan.

Ms Scanlan said that two of the boys are her brothers Derek and Kenneth O’Gorman, as well as siblings Josephine and Tomas, who are all from St Patrick’s Terrace in Tarbert. She also mentioned that sadly her brother Derek pass away not long after the photograph was taken.

The three other children, now adults, reunited recently to reenact the photo and it’s so heartwarming.

Josephine, Kenneth and Thomas recreated the now-viral photo while holding a picture of Derek just before he passed away.

People from far and wide have been following the story of the four Tarbert children.

“Lovely. I came here from reddit originally, and subscribed to this page.”

“It was lovely to keep it all this time back and to recreate it again well done guys its beautiful.”
