In cooperation with the US Consumers Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, Playtex released a statement announcing that particular plates and bowls would be recalled and advised parents to stop using the named products immediately after receiving 372 concerned reports.
These polypropylene plates and bowls cause a risk of choking if the graphics begin to bubble or peel off. The graphics include pictures of cars, princesses, superheroes, construction scenes and giraffes.
The items being recalled would have been purchased between October 2009 and August 2017 and parents will be able to see the Playtex brand on the bottom of these bowls and plates if they need help identifying them. The company also pointed out that no other products, other than those mentioned, have been affected.Explore more on these topics:
