Co Clare playground closed due to ‘human faeces’ found three times in one week

A playground in Co Clare has closed after "human faeces" was found there three times in one week.

The playground in Sixmilebridge, known colloquially as The Bridge, was apparently shut recently, due to the presence of human faeces. A Snapchat screenshot shared to Reddit yesterday pictured a sign seemingly left on the playground fence reading:

"Playground closed until further notice. "Human FAECES in playground three times this week. Any inquires please contact."

The photo also included the Snapchat caption: "Just wanted to go on the swings like." The image was shared on Reddit by user 'AddictsWithPens' who said, "Don't we all just love Sixmilebridge." Their post has received a lot of comments from people who have said they are going to have to head down to the town to check out the faeces themselves. One person responded alleging that they had already attended the playground, but that it was "shite, don't bother." We have reached out to the playground for comment.
