Very healthy, indeed.

If you didn’t already guess, it has now been confirmed that Malahide is the healthiest town in Ireland.

The census, which took place at the end of 2016, shows that 92.5 percent of the people living in the coastal suburb said they were in good or very good health, which we can all admit is quite a lot.

Malahide was swiftly followed by Carrigaline in Co. Cork and Maynooth in Co. Kildare.

Overall, 87 percent of the population of Ireland consider themselves to be in good or very good health.

And the unhealthiest town?

Well, people living in Longford reported the worst health, with almost three percent of the population saying that they had bad or very bad health.
