Irish Rail have confirmed that their services will be impacted following vandalism to cables on the line. The damage was caused between the Sallins and Newbridge stops and will impact those travelling to and from Heuston. Services between Newbridge and Grand Canal Dock are also expected to be affected by the damage.Delays - approx 30-45 mins - to all services from/to Heuston due to signal cable vandalism.

Irish Rail tweeted;
"Delays of 30-45 mins expected to services to/from Heuston this morning due to signal cable vandalism between Sallins and Newbridge."They tweeted afterwards to say;
"Signalling restored between Newbridge and Sallins for trains travelling to Heuston following cable vandalism - delays remain but will start to ease.
