Fear among neighbourhood as serial rapist is spotted around UCD

Convicted rapist Michael Murray has caused major alarm among neighbours and students in Dublin.

Murray was convicted and sentenced to 18 years in jail after raping four women and sexually assaulting two others. Having served only 13 years, he is now causing much concern and distress as he was spotted walking down Dublin’s Nutley Road and the area around UCD.

According to the Independent, months before his conviction, Murray was sentenced to 4 months in jail for indecent exposure in front of a five-year-old girl and three-year-old boy. A member of the gardaí has classified him as equally dangerous as notorious rapist Larry Murphy. Unsurprisingly, students in UCD have been left terrified as Murphy continues to roam around the area and it’s been reported he has banged on doors to complain over noise from student parties.
