Conjoined Twins ‘Unlikely To Survive’

Conjoined twins born in northern India on Saturday are unlikely to survive, doctors have said.  The twin boys have separate heads, necks and spines but share a heart, stomach and lung. They weighed just six pounds and nine ounces when they were born. [caption id="attachment_235050" align="alignleft" width="637"] Dailymail.co.uk[/caption] Dr. Rishi Rajput, who delivered the babies at Saroj Nursing Home in Kanpur, said: 'It is very difficult for them to survive. Their heart is too weak.

'But the babies are in the intensive care unit for now. We will keep them under observation.'

Sadly, the twins mother Anita Kumar (30) and her husband Satish (35) told The Daily Mail they believed their family has been cursed:

"Gods must be angry with us and they have punished us with this." they said.

Nevertheless, the couple have committed to their baby boys:

"Even though, the doctors have told us that there are minimal chances of survival, we hope to raise them as well as we can." they said.
