Three people were killed in the shooting on Sunday evening.

Police investigating a mass shooting in Copenhagen have confirmed three people were killed.

A 17-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl were killed in the shooting.

A 47-year-old man was also killed in the attack.

Four people are also in critical condition in hospital after the shooting.

A 22-year-old Danish man has been arrested in connection with the shooting, but police believe the incident is not ‘terror-related’.

The gunman opened fire in the crowded shopping centre at 5.30 pm on Sunday, July 3rd.

Thousands of young people were gathered near the shopping mall. Harry Styles was set to perform at a nearby venue, which was just 1 mile away from the scene of the shooting.

It is believed the singer was set to perform to 17,000 fans at a concert venue, but the show was cancelled following the horror attack.

Following the tragic incident, the Golden singer tweeted: “I’m heartbroken along with the people of Copenhagen. I adore this city. The people are so warm and full of love.”

He added, “I’m devastated for the victims, their families, and everyone hurting.”

Styles apologised to fans for cancelling the show but stressed that it was the right decision to make.

“I’m sorry we couldn’t be together. Please look after each other. H.”

Fans were evacuated from the nearby arena and were urged to return home immediately following the shooting.
