Coronation Street’s Jane Danson fainted on the ice today while preparing for her performance.
The actor was practicing her routine on tonight’s Dancing On Ice when she collapsed unconscious.
Danson was hurried from the ice on a stretcher and assessed by paramedics on site.
The Sun reports that it is not yet known whether Danson will be well enough to perform on tonight’s show, however a rep for Dancing On Ice has said that “all of the celebrities take to the ice to perform in Fairytale week.”
A spokesperson for ITV said:
“Jane fainted earlier today on the ice during a rehearsal for this evening’s live show. She has been assessed by show medics and is now resting ahead of the performance.”

Danson and partner Sylvain Longchambon have received mixed scores from judges during their time on the show.
Jason Gardner was particularly harsh following the actor’s performance to Kylie Minogue’s ‘Dancing,’ questioning whether she thought she was doing enough to stay in the competition.
“Do you want to go out Jane Danson,” he asked, “because that lacked a lot of dance content for me and the dance that you did do was very basic.
“Which is why I understand why you put all that production in to mask the fact that there wasn’t a hell of a lot going on.”
Dancing On Ice continues tonight at 6pm.
