Corrie character to be left fighting for life after dark new storyline

Keeley Ryan

One Weatherfield resident is soon going to be left fighting for their life as another dark twist hits Coronation Street.

Ex-Emmerdale series producer Iain MacLeod is set to take over the Corrie reigns from Kate Oates this month.

And following some recent dark storylines, many fans of the soap had hoped he would introduce some lighter material.

However, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

He is said to be planning plots including drug dealers and a car chase, which will leave Michelle Connor’s son, Ryan, in a coma and fighting for his life.

A source told The Sun

“Kym [Marsh, who plays Michelle] has been handed another belter.

“Michelle tries to cover up a death after a friend of Ryan’s named Cormack has a fatal drugs overdose in his flat.

“Ryan doesn’t do anything to help save his pal’s life because it was his pills he took.”

In an effort to try and help her son, Michelle attempts to get her other son, Ali, and Sophie Webster to provide them with an alibi.

But Sophie ends up retracting her statement – which lands Ryan in a heap of trouble.

On the storyline, the source continued:

“It looks like Ryan has got in with the wrong crowd.

“It’s going to culminate in a high-speed crash which leaves him in a coma fighting for his life.”
