We sense major DRAMA.
As long-standing Coronation Street fans will know, Michelle Connor has a son named Alex but they haven’t been in touch for a long time.
However, Alex, now known as Ali Neeson, is back on the cobbles to take up a new job in Weatherfield’s medical centre.
It’s not quite as simple as one big reunion though for Ali doesn’t want to have anything to do with Michelle and even though he’s working alongside Liz, his former step-grandmother, he asks her not to tell Michelle.
He doesn’t bargain for Michelle hurting her hand at work and arriving at the centre where mother and son come face to face with each other after almost ten years.
Fans of the popular soap might remember that a decade ago, Michelle was dealt a massive shock when she discovered that her son Ryan was not her biological son.
There was a mix-up at the hospital when Ryan and Alex were born and Michelle went home with the wrong baby with this proving a massive Corrie storyline at the time.
Michelle and Alex met ten years ago but they lost touch soon after and this is the first appearance Alex has made in Weatherfield since.
Here’s hoping Ali and Michelle will be able to work through things with the scenes set to air very soon.
