A couple in the UK missed their flight and honeymoon after they got very drunk and had a heated argument in the airport. The couple got married in July and were flying out of Manchester Airport on July 28th for their honeymoon in Malta.
Upon check in, they'd already consumed a lot of alcohol and continued to do so when they were through security. According to
The Daily Mail, the couple had drank a number of beers and three bottles of wine that day.
An argument began between them and eventually the police had to get involved and they were not allowed to board the aircraft.
The husband maintains that his wife had drunk the majority of the wine in the taxi on the way to the airport and that he only got aggressive with Police officers when one of them stood on his broken ankle.
They were charged with public disorder and were fined £90 and were later requested to appear in front of Manchester where they were fined another £260.
