Netflix has just announced the release date for The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and the child in me could not be more excited. Based on Jim Henson’s groundbreaking 1982 feature film The Dark Crystal, the new series will see fans transported back to the land of Thra with an all-new adventure. Set many years before the events of the movie, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance tells the story of three Gelfling and their epic journey to ignite the fires of rebellion and save their world. With the world of Thra dying, The Crystal of Truth at the heart of Thra is their only hope. But the heart is damaged, corrupted by the evil Skeksis, and a sickness spreads across the land. When the three Gelfling uncover the horrific truth behind the power of the Skeksis, an adventure unfolds as the fires of rebellion are lit and an epic battle for the planet begins.
