Ahhhhh.

A lot of people have been wondering how David and Victoria managed to score a private invite to Buckingham Palace after they posted pictures from daughter Harper’s ‘princess’ party.

However, it turns out that it wasn’t just a Beckham soirée and in actual fact, it was a tea party that a number of other people attended.

Although initially, it looked like Harper and her school friends were the only ones at said party with the opportunity to meet Princess Eugenie, father of four David has now set the record straight.

Alongside another Instagram photo from said party, this time of him, Harper and his mother Sandra, David wrote:

“Just to be clear this wasn’t the palace opening the gates for Harper’s birthday party , this was a tea party where us and other guests were invited so it was a beautiful thing to do with My mum , Harper plus a few school friends… We were honored to be able to there… Beautiful tea party”.

This comes after amidst backlash where people suggested that a tea party in such a grand location was too much for a six-year-old and it was completely over the top to celebrate in such a way.

However, it’s not completely negative for others have said that it’s a pity the former professional footballer felt he had to explain a gift for his daughter’s birthday and that it was a special memory for Harper to treasure.

Our little birthday princess x Kisses ??????
